Welcome to the Fiction Book Club!
In this book club we choose books to read together, and then discuss them here every Monday! This is all about reading exciting books, and being able to discuss it with friends who are reading them at the same time.

Note: If you ever want to see where we are currently in the book club, check the top of the Recent Entries. There will always be a status of where we are, whether it's the book/pages we're on, or links to posts for voting on the next book.
1) No spoilers!
There will be weekly discussion posts about our current book. Each week will cover approximately 100-150 pages of the book divided into chapters. You should not post spoilers for any content that is beyond the pages that we are discussing!
If you are really dying to discuss something that happens later in the book, and the community has not gotten that far yet, feel free to write a post about it, but put the contents behind an LJ-Cut that is marked for spoilers.
2) Debates are welcome! Rudeness and personal attacks are not.
Everyone has opinions about books, and what they like and what they don't like. It's fine to discuss these things, but let's keep it civil! Rudeness and personal attacks are absolutely not permitted.
3) Absolutely no discrimination! (gender, race, sexuality, anything)
4) No sharing or pirating of copyrighted material. Violating copyright without consent is against LiveJournal's ToS. To keep our bookclub safe from ToS violations, we will not be allowing any sort of sharing of copyrighted material.
5) No advertising. Send an LJ message to one of the Mods if you would like to promote in the community.
6) Have fun! :)
If you do not like the book that was chosen, don't feel obligated to read it! Just hang out and wait for the next book to be chosen. Remember that we are all here to have fun, and you shouldn't feel forced to read something you just aren't interested in.
